National Australian Pipelines were engaged by APA Group to construct the Aurora Lane Pipeline Extension.

National Australian Pipelines were engaged by APA Group to construct the Aurora Lane Pipeline Extension.

The works included approximately 205m of DN100 steel high pressure gas pipeline extension to be utilised to supply the Mayfield Lane development.

The pipeline was fully installed in the Aurora Lane roadway and reinstated in accordance with APA and council requirements.

Major activities

Major activities undertaken for this project included:

Provision of construction management plans for the pipeline including; Health and Safety Plan, Site Environmental Management Plan, Quality Plan.
Provision of significant Traffic Management Plans, including full time traffic management resources.
Identification, potholing and recording of significant number of crossing assets and utilities using along the pipeline construction alignment.
Cartage and disposal of contaminated spoil where required.
Non-destructive testing (NDT) on 10% of mainline welds.
All works conducted during night to limit impact to major thoroughfare roadway.
Backfilling of pipeline using APA approved materials and asphalt reinstatement of entire pipeline alignment council specification.
