National Australian Pipelines were engaged by APA to construct a new gas facility in order to inject
stored natural gas from the Tasmanian Gas Pipeline (TGP) into APA’s Victorian Transmission System
(VTS) at Longford in Victoria. The works included two hot-tap connections, a Transfer Station Facility
(TSF) and an interconnecting pipeline between the Tasmanian Gas Pipeline (TGP) and the Victorian
Transmission System (VTS). The construction included supply and mechanical installation of the TGP
Main skids and associated electrical and instrumentation works. National Australian Pipelines also
constructed 700 metres of DN300 steel pipeline and 50 metres of DN250 steel pipeline in accordance
with the specifications and drawings provided by APA as well as AS2885.
