Major activities

Major activities undertaken for this project included:

Boring under Bell Street by microtunnelling.
Boring underneath the Epping railway line.
Major traffic management control/plan according with the local authorities and VicRoads requirements.
Co-ordination with Melbourne Water and Yarra Valley Water to ensure that the shutdown time for tie-in was acceptable and achievable by all parties. Melbourne Water gave us 6 hours to do the tie-in, but we completed it in 4 hours.
This project also involved working in close proximity to high power poles.
