Major activities

Major activities undertaken for this project included:

Provision of construction management plans for the pipeline including, program of work, Quality Plan, Site Health and Safety Plan and Site Environmental Management Plan.
Provision of traffic management plans for the pipeline.
Traffic management during construction activities.
Survey and set out of works.
Proving of all existing services.
Excavation in any material for pipe trenches and disposal of surplus soil for construction of the DN 500 Pipeline.
Installation of the DN 500 API 5L – X70 11.2mm WT pipe including placement, jointing and any external coating repairs.
Tie into existing Mortlake Gas Pipeline at KP 394.36.
Supply and installation of electrolysis test points and connections to existing pipeline electrolysis system.
Supply and installation of pipeline marker posts.
Reinstatement of all areas disturbed during construction including easement, pipe track, construction access roads and all public roads and reserves.
Non destructive testing of all welded joints including ultrasonic and x-ray testing.
Hydrostatic pressure testing including pigging and drying of the additional 500m of pipeline to the launching station.
