The M205 Watermain Replacement required construction of a replacement main for the existing M205 Distribution Main and decommissioning of the redundant main.

The M205 Watermain Replacement required construction of a replacement main for the existing M205 Distribution Main and decommissioning of the redundant main. The new distribution main included a new 600mm diameter mild steel cement lined (MSCL) main between Preston Reservoir and Bell Street and a new 375mm diameter MSCL main across Bell Street.

Major activities

Major activities undertaken for this project included:

Installation of new 600mm diameter MSCL main from Preston Reservoir to the north boundary of Bell. Street
Installation of new 375mm diameter MSCL main across the intersection of Bell Street.
Connection to 150mm CICL reticulation main at Regent Street.
Boring under the Epping railway line near Russell Street.
Connection to 150mm AC reticulation main at Murray Road.
Connection to the existing 375mm MSCL distribution main on the north side of Bell Street.
Connection to the existing 300mm DICL distribution main on the south side of Bell Street.
Decommissioning of redundant 600 CICL main.
