The Boundary Road Feeder Main project conducted for Barwon Water Alliance involved the construction of the water main at Boundary Road Grovedale, between Ghazepore Road in Waurn Ponds and Charlemont Road in Connewarre.

The Boundary Road Feeder Main project conducted for Barwon Water Alliance involved the construction of the water main at Boundary Road Grovedale, between Ghazepore Road in Waurn Ponds and Charlemont Road in Connewarre. The pipeline in total was 4.5Km long, comprising of 477m of 960mm, 2,483m of 813mm and 1,605m of 648mm MSCL pipe.

Major activities

Major activities undertaken for this project included:

Provision of construction management plans for the pipeline including, Safety Health and Safety Plan, Site Environmental Management Plan, Quality Plan.
Provision of traffic management plans.
Traffic management during construction activities.
Survey and set out works.
Proving all existing assets.
Working in the proximity of overhead powerlines.
3 x Major Tunnel Bores - Barwon Heads Rd, Torquay Rd and Outfall Sewer.
Construction of air valves, hydrants, scour valves and pressure reducing stations.
Excavation and shoring of trenches to lay pipe.
Installation of pipe in trenches including, placement and jointing.
Supply of materials, installation and compaction of pipe embedment and trench backfill.
Hydro testing of the pipeline at completion.
Reinstatement of all disturbed areas including easement, pipe track, construction access roads and all public roads and reserves.
