This project involved the construction of 200m of 1200mm Mild steel pipeline at the Essendon Airport.

Major activities

Major activities undertaken for this project included:

Fabrication and construction of mild steel (15 Tons) tie-in assemblies.
Bulk excavation and concreting works for Freeway construction.
Timely completion was essential to enable Freeway construction.
Co-ordination with Melbourne Water and Baulderstone Hornibrook to ensure that the shutdown time for tie-in was acceptable and achievable by all parties. Melbourne Water gave us 36 hours to do the tie-in, but we completed it in 24 hours.
